The one thing that makes me feel real icky is touching a gas pump handle. It’s probably one of the most handled things in the modern world, and there is no telling who has touched it.Â
The rubber handle feels weird enough, but you just don’t know if gas has spilled on that handle, or what kind of germs from other folks have been placed upon it.Â
Before you think I’m a total nutcase, just think about it – People sneeze and cough and touch it, not to mention people that don’t wash their hands after using the bathroom. The gas pump handle is a prett gross thing.
And this is why I keep hand sanitizer in my car at all times.
My dog drinks water from the toilet and at the curb on the side of the street as we go for our walk, so I feel fairly safe touching the pump handle.
You also don’t know who has touched shopping carts before you…I too keep hand sanitizer in my car.
Never thought about that one, but here is one I thought about the last time I was at the doctors office. The door handles and the counter of the office. Why do people go see the doctor? There sick. No telling how many germs are spread in that small confind space.
I would like to use this photo in my high school ecology website. May I have permission?
