You’ll find a plethora of then-and-now photos of Atlanta through the decades, scores of old postcards, and miscellaneous ephemeral stuff like old advertising for nightclubs, bars, and restaurants. In short, the site features a virtually endless supply of “historical” stuff you probably won’t find elsewhere.
More interestingly, I wasn’t aware that Atlanta had it’s own White House.
I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that Atlanta has a 3/4 sized replica of the White House and it’s located at 3687 Briarcliff Road NE. The Atlanta White House was built by Atlanta home builder Fred Milani, an American citizen born in Iran.
Timmy, you will not disrespect me at the dinner table! Go to your wing!
Man. I just love this website. I’m an Atlanta boy – born and raised. That’s pretty odd here because we have a lot of transplants. This site has been a favorite of mine for a long time. It shows the highlights and lowlights of the city (for the lowlights(though they are funny), check out the Clermont Hotel/Lounge http:/http://www.atlantatimemachine.com/commercialbldgs/ponce789.htm)
Unfortunately, it doesn’t include great site like Ebenezer Baptist Church right now. http://www.historicebenezer.org .
Hopefully, it will soon.
Love your blog.
Thanks for highlighting Atlanta!
