- Bravo to Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D) and Rep. Pete Sessions (R) for holding a civilized debate, and bravo the the community for not acting like idiots by protesting by yelling and shouting and getting in each others face. Instead, the protest was very peaceful. I just don’t think the news covered the event very well. For instance, they stated no one in the audience were permitted to ask questions, but I don’t think they made it known that people could email questions to both representatives well beforehand. UPDATE: KDFW has better coverage of the event.
