  • Bravo to Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D) and Rep. Pete Sessions (R) for holding a civilized debate, and bravo the the community for not acting like idiots by protesting by yelling and shouting and getting in each others face.  Instead, the protest was very peaceful.  I just don’t think the news covered the event very well.  For instance, they stated no one in the audience were permitted to ask questions, but I don’t think they made it known that people could email questions to both representatives well beforehand.  UPDATE:  KDFW has better coverage of the event.

  • I have a feeling that Ted Kennedy won’t live to see Christmas.  He was unable to attend the Presidential Medal of Freedom Award ceremony in which he was a recipient and he couldn’t even attend his sister’s funeral.
  • A black friend of mine teased me yesterday about Tiger Woods, a half-Asian, losing the PGA Championship to South Korean Y.E. Yang.  I teased him back by saying it wasn’t the Asian side of Tiger’s fault.
  • Who knew a little Eskimo girl holding a goat could be so cute.
  • I’m starting to see more and more people bring guns to events were the president is speaking.  Maybe it’s just me reading that Secret Service book, but I wouldn’t want to do anything that would remotely raise suspicion in their minds.

A Twitter post the other day regarding Yang winning the golf tournament that made me laugh, it said….I wonder if somewhere in the world someone named Yin had a really bad day on the golf course.
