Breastfeeding Baby Dolls

Bebé Glotón is a infant doll made by Berjuan, a toy maker in Spain, for the express purpose of promoting breastfeeding. The idea is to impress upon kids that breastfeeding is natural.

Your child wears a colorful bra-like halter-top featuring flowers over the nipple area. When the doll is lifted to the flowers, it makes a suckling motion and sound. When your child’s flower nipples grow sore and cracked, either the baby cries for more, or beckons to be burped.

This is wrong…This is why we have such a high rate in child and teenage pregnancy. Yes, kids need to learn that breastfeeding is the great way to go, but there is nothing wrong with bottle feeding a baby or a babydoll! A child should not know what it feels like to breastfeed a a baby!

I realize I'm a little late on this but I do not think it is wrong at all. What is wrong is that EVERY baby doll comes with a bottle or pacifier. Breasts were made to feed children. I dont think that a little girl pretending to breastfeed a babydoll is promoting teen pregnancy anymore than bottle feeding a babydoll. And yes there is something wrong with bottlefeeding a baby if you have a choice to breastfeed instead. Bottles and formula create many problems! Why don't you read an article on breastfeeding before you post a reply saying there is "nothing wrong with bottle feeding" Breastfed babies are not better they are the standard…formula fed babies have lower IQ's, higher chance of diabetes, obesity, alergies, respiratory problems and many other medical problems. Before you speak out educate yourself!!!
