I was wrong about Jason Kidd

Back in 1995 I thought Jason Kidd was an idiot for saying this when he was drafted by the lowly Mavs:

We’re going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

But since he’s now coming back to Dallas, that quote almost makes sense.  It’s even a little prophetic.

And if this trade is true . . . Dallas gave up wayyyyy too much for this trade.  CBS Sportsline is reporting this as the details:

The Nets agree to trade All-Star point guard Jason Kidd and Malik Allen to the Mavericks for Devin Harris, Jerry Stackhouse, Devean George, DeSagana Diop, Maurice Ager, two first-round picks and cash.

Sorry to see Kidd return. He doesn’t seem to be your typical Maverick. BUT, with the way they have been playing maybe they don’t need the typical Maverick at this point. They are missing something and I don’t see them going very far this season without a major change.

mavs throwing everything but the kitchen sink and Mavs Man to get Kidd. Seems a little one sided to me but apparently they know something I don’t
