Yahweh

There is a U2 song called Yahweh that is on their latest album.  The song has this one line that always makes me think:

Always pain before a child is born

It’s always fun to talk to other folks to get their interpretation of this line.  However, today in Sunday school I came across a verse that I think may help me understand this line a bit more.  It’s Romans 8:22-25

22We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? 25But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

Anywho, just food for thought that I wanted to share.

I love it when God explains things to us……and all we have to do many times is read His Word!

I’m always fascinated by the Bono eyewear (or as Gordo calls it, the woodshop safety glasses). As it turns out you will have to shell out $400 or $500 per pair for these Bulgari “woodshop safety glasses”.

wull ya that’s what he’s talking about! 🙂 the song is definitely apocalyptic, “the sun is coming up” etc. it’s a longing hope for new life in the midst of the pains of pre-birth. it’s so Bono circa 1981 and beyond.
