Dozens in Stephenville, Texas report seeing UFO
STEPHENVILLE, Texas – In this farming community where nightfall usually brings clear, starry skies, residents are abuzz over reported sightings of what many believe is a UFO.
Several dozen people — including a pilot, county constable and business owners — insist they have seen a large silent object with bright lights flying low and fast. Some reported seeing fighter jets chasing it.
He almost lost an arm trying to flirt
A 20-year-old man is stable after undergoing surgery on his arm that was partially severed as he waved out a car window at two girls in Western Australia.
He was a passenger in a Nissan utility that drove past two girls washing their vehicle at a car wash in Bunbury, south of Perth, last night, police said today.
“He put his arm out the window and waved at the girls as the Nissan made a right hand turn at the intersection, and was struck by a Toyota Hi-Lux twin-cab vehicle,” a police statement said.
“His left arm was partially severed and doctors believe the limb may need to be amputated.”
The man was transferred from Bunbury Regional Hospital overnight and underwent surgery in Royal Perth Hospital this morning, a hospital spokeswoman said.
“He has just had surgery, it went well and he is in a stable condition,” she said.
She could not confirm whether his arm had been saved due to patient confidentiality.
Police are calling for witnesses to the accident.
I wanted to post a picture along with this story, but sadly there are no pictures of girls in bikinis washing cars on the Internet.
After 11 Hours, Bank Realizes It Was Robbed
It took hours for officials at a downtown Washington bank to realize they’d been robbed.
Police said a man impersonating an armored car guard walked out of a Wachovia bank branch on Pennsylvania Avenue Thursday with more than $100,000, after officials let him sign for a locked bag of cash.
About an hour after the robbery, a real Brinks guard arrived at the bank and was told that another guard had completed the day’s cash pickup.
Police said the Brinks driver waited until he returned to his office to tell his supervisors about the failed pickup. Brinks officials contacted the bank, and a branch manager called D.C. police about 8 p.m. — almost 11 hours after the theft.
