Woman, 30, ‘posed as 13-year-old schoolboy’
A 30-year-old woman was arrested yesterday for masquerading as a schoolboy after “stealing” a teenager’s identity.
Barbora Skrlova fled to Norway from the Czech Republic and posed as a 13-year-old boy for four months to avoid giving testimony in a 2007 child abuse case, Czech police said.
She was deported back to the Czech Republic and detained after months of fooling teachers in Norway by passing herself off as a boy named Adam. She was enrolled at a school near Oslo in September by a woman who introduced the 33-year-old as her son.
Skrlova was eventually arrested after the police received a tip-off.
Skrlova was also part of an alleged scam in which she posed as a 13-year-old girl who was adopted by a woman in the Czech city of Brno, according to Czech police.
The woman is suspected of abusing her two younger sons and Skrlova is a key witness in the case.
Prank led school to treat two with shock – Special ed center duped, report says
Two special education students at the controversial Judge Rotenberg Educational Center in Canton were wrongfully delivered dozens of punishing electrical shocks in August based on a prank phone call from a former student posing as a supervisor, a state investigative report has found.
School staffers contacted state authorities after they realized they had been tricked on Aug. 26 into delivering 77 shocks to one student and 29 shocks to another, according to Cindy Campbell, a spokeswoman for the Department of Early Education and Care, which drafted the report. Both students were part of a Rotenberg-run group home in Stoughton for males under age 22.
