President Trump’s Twitter accessed by security expert who guessed password “maga2020!”

Victor Gevers, a security researcher at the GDI Foundation and chair of the Dutch Institute for Vulnerability Disclosure, which finds and reports security vulnerabilities, told TechCrunch he guessed the president’s account password and was successful on the fifth attempt.

The account was not protected by two-factor authentication, granting Gevers access to the president’s account.

After logging in, he emailed US-CERT, a division of Homeland Security’s cyber unit Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), to disclose the security lapse

Last night’s moderator did a good job but I think she’s getting too much praise. The candidates were a lot more civil than the first debate and had a lot more riding on this final debate. If she were moderating the first debate everyone would be commenting on how poorly she managed it.

Neither candidate started with the traditional thanking of the moderator and hosting facility.

What I learned at man camp, where men get in touch with their emotions

On a Friday evening in early March, two weeks before much of the US went into a coronavirus lockdown, I found myself standing in the California desert, screaming into another man’s face.

The next day, the smell of burning sage wafted through the air as I took my shirt off and wrestled a guy inside a metal dome.

Later, I was part of a group of more than 20 men, many crying, as we talked about our emotions – about moments from our childhood, about parents, about doomed relationships and fading hopes.

This rollercoaster ride was part of an “embodied masculinity experience” hosted by a group called Sacred Sons, aimed at promoting healthy masculinity.

I’m all for this. The amount of trash a single fast-food restaurant throws out is staggering. But I fear there’s just not going to be a buy-in from customers.

Burger King is planning to test reusable containers starting next year as part of its efforts to reduce waste.

The trial is part of a partnership with TerraCycle’s zero-waste delivery platform, Loop. Customers can opt in for reusable packaging for menu items such as sandwiches, soft drinks and coffee. They can then return the reusable sandwich container or beverage cup to Burger King restaurants to be cleaned and reused.
But for those who participate, the program comes with a cost: Customers will be charged a small deposit upon purchase, and once the packaging is returned, they’ll receive a refund.

This Halloween season, I have the family watching The Twilight Zone. The first episode we watched was “Nick of Time”. That’s the one with William Shatner and the devil fortune-teller machine. In the episode, he and his new bride entered a cafe and ordered iced-coffee. I thought iced-coffee was a relatively new thing made famous by Starbucks.

Texas Roadhouse restaurants are headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky but founded in Clarksville, Indiana.

Speaking of “headquarters”. It always cracks me up when I hear the local news do a story from the “Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters in Frisco, Texas” as if they have offices and teams in other parts of the world. I suppose it’s similar to MLB referring to their championship as the World Series despite only two countries being able to play in it.

I can’t remember if I told y’all, but I finally was released my buddy with covid from the hospital. He spent about ten days there. It hit him hard, and he’s not a smoker nor morbidly obese. And, for the most part, he’s a healthy 44-year-old man.

The driver then got out of the car and waived his hand in the air. Deputy Rideout realized the man was choking and ran to render aid. Within seconds, the man’s airway was cleared.

The 14 coolest features of the $113,000 2022 Hummer EV ‘Edition 1’ — GMC’s all-electric ‘super truck’ coming next year

  • For instance, it has a four-wheel-steering feature that lets the vehicle drive diagonally in a move GMC calls a “crab walk.”
  • The Hummer EV Edition 1 boasts front and rear underbody cameras to help drivers tackle challenging terrain and choose the best path over obstacles.
  • They can choose how much torque to send to the front and rear axles, or choose a “terrain mode,” which bumps up the truck’s ride height by 2 inches.
  • It also comes with a transparent roof made of removable panels that can stow away in the truck’s frunk.

Lawyers spurn Trump campaign in individual donations, including from Jones Day

Lawyers at Jones Day, which has earned millions as outside counsel to U.S. President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign, have donated nearly $90,000 to the campaign committee of Trump’s Democratic rival Joe Biden. Contributions to the Trump campaign by Jones Day lawyers totaled just $50, records show.

Some people are wondering where Troy Aikman stands politically. Well, I remember a story he told the Musers one time about some Oklahoma lawmakers recruiting him to run for office. Basically, it turned out they were Democrats and Troy revealed in a subtle manner that he was a conservative. My guess, he’s still conservative at heart but like so many in his party, this administration has disheartened him. Either way, I agree with this statement, “It’s unclear whether Aikman and Buck are against the flyovers or are mocking critics who oppose them.”

The story also states flyovers don’t cost the taxpayer anything, which surprised me. “Flyovers are conducted at no additional cost to the taxpayer and serve as training and meet proficiency requirements for our pilots,” Navy spokesman Lt. Rob Reinheimer told CNN.

I voted yesterday at Music City Mall in Lewisville. Walking through the mall felt like walking through an abandoned haunted house, but I was in and out in less than ten minutes.

Every time I vote, I’m required to fill in a rectangle (about 1 cm x 1 1/2 cm) with a ball-point pen they provide me. The process would go by much fast if felt-tip pens were provided.

Yesterday, around 10:00 AM, one of WifeGeeding’s students was removed from class because a parent was COVID-19 positive. Supposedly, no one had contact with the student and a cleaning crew immediately sanitized the classroom.

Man breaks into home during children’s remote learning class, teacher calls 911

A California teacher jumped into action after she noticed fear on the faces of two students who didn’t immediately sign off after a remote learning session Thursday.

“I was just watching their faces and I can see their faces go from concern to panic,” teacher Jennifer Petersen told KOVR. Petersen said she never logs off until the last student does.

Mother Reyna Luna said the source of her children’s fear was a stranger who broke into the family’s Galt home during the class while she was out.
