Not all that impressed with the Daytime Emmys last night – Dick Clark looked like he had put too much instant tanning lotion and then tried to hide it with makeup. And it was just heartless for the Director to try for a closeup when Clark broke down after the tribute. Yes, they had lots of other shots during the applause and standing O, but they kept coming back to him. And WHY did they do a closeup on that one actress' daughter that she called up to the stage who was just a wreck of tears? That was uncalled for and tasteless. Yes, she may have been shedding tears of joy, but her mom had also just lost her job. Talk about conflicting emotions all over the place. Sheesh.
