It seems to me that a lot of people are looking for a new Pastor in Chief, not a new president. The fact that Huckabee is “surging” in the polls concerns me. His economic policy is oversimplified. His health care policy is embarrassingly under prepared. People seem to like him because he sounds like a good pastor. The president of the United States has a very different role than your pastor! I am a Christian pastor myself, and, just like I don’t want politicians leading my church, I don’t want pastors running this country. I want a president to do that role.
With the exception of one man and his cronies, I actually think most of our elected officials do a great job running this country.
