Marching and praying for Dobson’s soul

They started marching Monday, from the state Capitol toward Colorado Springs.

And as the week progresses, their numbers will grow into the hundreds as they converge Saturday at the campus of Focus on the Family, where an estimated 1,000 people will pray for its founder, James Dobson.

I plan to be there, to witness a courageous act: Hundreds of gays and lesbians praying for a man whose powerful organization lobbies for anti-gay legislation and spews damaging mistruths about gay people.

Just because someone doesn’t agree with the homosexual lifestyle, doesn’t mean that he is homophobic. Hate the sin, not the sinner.

I SOOOO agree w/ Trinity13!! To be Christian is to be “Christ-like”…..and that is certainly what He does!

Boy, if Dobson’s rotted soul is Christ-like, then Christianity is in trouble. Jesus did not think himself above the tax collector, the woman at the well, or anyone. He did not spew hatred as Dobson does, and was a wonderful beacon of love. Dobson is a sad, dark soul who preys on people’s fear. I pity him.

Such a fine line between the sinner and the sin….

  5. uncle to niece geeding says:

It’s very easy, and often pious for Christians to find comfort in the “hate the sin, love the sinner” concept. I challenge all Christians to take their faith to the next level, love mankind and leave judgements to God.
