  • Several of you were nice enough to recommend a secure password saving and generating tool called LastPass.  From my understanding, you create one master password which LastPass doesn’t even record or store, and LastPass will do the rest when it comes to creating unique passwords for each site.  What’s holding me back is that I’m not real comfortable giving a third party all my passwords.  Also, if I’m a hacker, wouldn’t I just need to hack LastPass to get a treasure trove of data?  I’m sure there’s security safeguards on their end I don’t understand, but it seems like I would just be putting all my eggs in one basket, hoping that basket is secure enough to protect my eggs.  So far these articles (granted, they’re all from the same source, LifeHacker) have been helpful researching the company, let me know if there’s another I should check out:
  • We are a one car family now and the wife and kids will be in East Texas, so I’m going to be bunkered in GeedingManor all weekend.  On the plus side, this will prevent me for eating fast food.  Sometimes I like to surprise WifeGeeding when she’s gone with projects I do around the house.  For instance, one time I had new carpet installed without her knowledge and another time I surprised her by upgrading our shower.  This time, I plan on veggin’ out.
  • I’m a big fan of the Google Chrome web browser but it’s been sluggish as of late.  After perusing the web for a while it seemed a common problem is that many users have the Hardware Acceleration featured enabled.  When I disabled it, Chrome was working lightening fast again. Here’s the instructions if you’re interested.
  • I always thought Troy Aikman was conceited but it was overlooked because of his good looks and play on the field, but I started to change my mind as he started to open up on The TICKET.  However, the way he responded to Gordon’s questions yesterday put him back on the conceited list.
  • Buzzfeed actually has a pretty thoughtful post about prayer and saying grace.
  • Most likely this will be in Texas – Elon Musk is building a five-mile Hyperloop test track
  • Amazon debuts 13 new TV show pilots that you can watch right now – There’s a cartoon about a garbage truck the BoyGeeding really enjoyed.
  • I’m not saying I’m for or against the Keystone Pipeline, but I had no idea there were already quite a few of pipelines from Canada that go through the U.S., with several ending at the Gulf of Mexico.
  • Ted Cruz’s Plan For NASA Is Epic – He even references JFK in his statement – In his statement, which was titled “Focus NASA on Its Core Mission: Exploring Space, and More of It,” Cruz said he wants to expand the US space program.
  • Is it time for Jerry Jones the owner, to fire Jerry Jones the general manager?  I purposely tuned in to WFAA to see Jerry’s biggest critic, Dale Hanson, to see what he would say about Jerry winning the Executive of the Year award and he wasn’t even working.
  • ‘Mad Men’ starts back up on April 5th.
  • The Green Bay Packers seem obsessed with playing a board game called Settlers of Catan.
  • I just don’t see the Packers or Colts winning this weekend.
  • I wish I had a father figure in my life right now, I sure could use some advice wisdom about a few things I’m fighting through.

  • While going to my mailbox I ran into my neighbor that plays for our local NFL franchise.  He seemed like he was in the doldrums, but I did tell him that I was proud of him and the team and thanked them for such a fun season.  He still seemed in the doldrums, perhaps I should have done a song and dance.
  • While driving home from my allergist on MacArthur Boulevard through Coppell traffic came to a stop.  A very young boy was trying to catch his dog that came off his leash, and the dog was darting from the grassy medium to both sides of the streets as if it was a game.  That poor kid had a look of worry and hopelessness that would break your heart.  One fancy sports car pulled over and Dallas Cowboy Brandon Carr stepped out to help wrangle up the canine.  And yes, there’s probably some joke I could have thrown in about his defensive coverage skills, but that fruit seemed a bit low hanging.
  • Speaking of dogs and allergies . . . I had an allergy test performed yesterday.  This is actually the third one of these I’ve had (why so many is another story), and I’ve had mixed results.  The results of one test said I was allergic to dogs and the results of the others said I wasn’t, yesterday’s also said I wasn’t.  I also had a blood test to see what kind of foods I’m allergic to and plan on adjusting my diet accordingly.
  • I get a small bit of satisfaction when I finish typing and email and use the Ctrl+Enter keyboard shortcut to send it off.
  • This is a little late, but Kirk Cameron is selling Saving Christmas Blend coffee.  I thought some of purchase funds would go to some kind of charity, but I couldn’t anything that stated such on a cursory glace.
  • Man Saves Wife’s Sight by 3D Printing Her Tumor – When his wife was misdiagnosed, Michael Balzer used 3D printing and imaging to get her well
  • Biggest North Texas Speed Trap Cities of 2014
  • I do enjoy finding Disney related stuff on the web, but a lot of times I post them because I know one particular reader enjoys them – 15 Disney Attractions You’ll Never Ride Again
  • 8 Logical Fallacies That Fuel Anti-Science Sentiments
  • GOP’s Mike Huckabee Questions the Obamas’ Parenting of Sasha and Malia – Granted, it’s People magazine so it doesn’t have much substance, but that headline is a bit misleading. Huckabee just doesn’t think Beyonce is someone the Obama girls should be looking up to.
  • I had no idea that President Nixon and Gov Mario Cuomo were good friends and even exchanged books with updated notations.
  • 2016 Presidential Form 2 Filers
  • This story of a handcuffed teen yelling for help for the heart attacked policeman that arrested him somewhat reminded me of the prisoners that rescued a warden from another inmate.
