Eleven years ago I made my first post, which was nothing more than a test post, and today is approximately my 20,560th post. Who knows how much more I have in me.
Why do I blog? To be honest, I’m not sure anymore. My life, perceptions of things, and priorities have changed a lot in eleven years. I guess I like to connect with people, and maybe if I’m lucky, make someone’s day a little more pleasant than what it would have been. I guess like to expose people to things they may normally not be exposed to, or try to bring a different perspective to them. I guess I like sharing things I find interesting, or thing that I think you may find interesting. I guess I like to make people think. And I guess I like knowing that I can be a little escape from everyone’s workday for a few minutes, and knowing that some of the things I share are actually talked about at the dinner table or with loved ones.
Today is also my dearly departed mother’s birthday, she would have turned 63. As I’ve sometimes done in the past, I choose to make only one post, and ask all of you to honor her by finding a magazine or book to read. Mom was a voraciously proud reader, and I would appreciate it if you would use the time you normally would use checking out this blog and spend it reading as a favor to me.
Thanks for taking time out of your day to spend it with me.
Grace,
Geeding
