Bag of Randomness for the First of Two Fridays The Thirteenth of 2017

If I researched correctly, Donald Trump is not a pet owner, and he will be the second or third president to not have a pet in the White House. Some sources state Andrew Jackson did not have a pet, but I found contradictory sources. All seem to agree James K. Polk did not have a pet while serving as president. There is a possibility of Trump getting a goldendoodle named Patton, after the famous general. A descendant of General Patton is a godparent of DaughterGeeding, who happened to gift her a pure-bred Havanese puppy, who you know as DogGeedingII.
I’m sure a lot of you have a harsh opinion of Vice President Joe Biden, but for me, it was heartwarming to see such a genuine emotional reaction when President Obama surprised him by awarding him the Presidential Medal of Freedom. We see so many public figures receive awards, but it’s the ones who can’t hide their emotions that really stick with ya because you know they really appreciate it.
I did get a kick out of this meme.
Pierce Bronson ran across my mind twice yesterday. I first read an article about how he allegedly pushed James Corden at a U2 concert, and then I learned the former Ex-MI6 agent connected with the Trump dossier is named Christopher Steele. That name made me think of Bronson’s character Remington Steele.
I wish Instagram pictures appeared on Twitter, I’m not a fan of having to click on a link to view a pic.
At some point during a presidency, there’s a tragedy and the president will play the role of “consoler-in-chief”. I’m not looking forward to any tragedies, but I’m curious to see how Trump will take the role.
I want Russian hackers to make all of Trump’s tweets appear in Comic Sans.
‘Mad Men’ Archives Donated to University of Texas
HBO’s mini-series ‘The New Pope’ will debut on Sunday and I think it will be great. Jude Law is great in almost anything and the idea of a corrupt American Pope in his forties is a neat storyline. Although I hear the pace of the show will be slow and will be a total of ten episodes, I think it’s going to worth viewing.

If you are going to the U2 concert at the end of May, come say hi to the FamilyGeeding.
I hardly buy tickets for anything, but I thought Ticketmaster did a great job with the process. The concert page had a countdown clock and when it hit zero, the page refreshed and allowed me to buy tickets using my U2 fan club early purchase code.
But I’m not a fan of their fees, which I think should be included in the price. I bought four $100 tickets but the total cost was $469.16.
Like I said, I rarely buy tickets so this whole process is a bit foreign to me, but I was surprised they wouldn’t mail the tickets, provide something printable, or allow the use of a mobile device. Instead, all you need to provide is the credit card you used to purchase them and a photo ID, which makes me wonder if the line at the gate will be slower than all get out.
I thought the kids wouldn’t really have much of a reaction when I told them I was going to take them to see Bono (how they basically refer to U2) but I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t like a “I’m going to Disney World” freak out, but DaughterGeeding slowly dropped her jaw in disbelief, in a good way.

- The shuttle is a small 12-person vehicle known as Arma, similar in appearance to Google’s original driverless car prototype, and it’s developed by a French company called Navya. Woman posts adventurous photos of her amputated leg

When Oklahoma native Kristi Loyall had her foot removed, she got it back in a plastic bag.

In 2011, Loyall noticed that her right pinky toe was numb. Despite a series of doctors’ visits, the numbness spread and grew painful. It turned out her foot and lower leg had cancer. As soon as her new oncologist suggested amputation, Loyall asked about keeping the severed limb.

After about a month of examining and preserving Loyall’s leg, the pathology lab sent it back to her. She passed it onto Skulls Unlimited, a company in Oklahoma that cleans and sells the skeletons of humans and animals. Skulls Unlimited defleshed the foot, dried it, put it in a tank with flesh-eating dermestid beetles. Next, they whitened the bones and strung them together in order. The process cost her $650 and took four months. Now Loyall has a skeleton foot. She takes it with her on her travels, snapping pictures for her Instagram, OneFootWander.
