Florida Church with an over the top ‘Purple Rain’ cover

It’s not every Sunday you see a vocalist make an entrance on a motorcycle wearing leather pants and a Wu-Tang shirt.

Somewhat of a local note, the pastor of the SBC affiliated church is a graduate of Baylor University and Southwestern Theological Seminary.

Everything that is wrong with the American megachurch is displayed in this video. Every, single, thing.

Check out the rest of their videos – mostly horrid covers of pop/rock songs, with a few "sermons" mixed in:

I just don't understand. I don't have any idea as to how this can in any way relate to the activities that a church service should be interested in/involved with. If you want to be in a pop cover band, do that. I'm certain there are plenty of places in Florida where you can get gigs. And the amount of money dumped into these productions (facilities/salaries/etc.) boggles my mind. And makes me sad.
