My insurance company, USAA, called to tell me I was at fault for my little accident last week, no argument there although I did feel the BMW was speeding in the parking lot. Actually, they said “we were at fault”, as in me and the insurance company, which I felt soften the blow and I actually appreciated it. I wonder if that’s common practice for all car insurance companies as a way to soften things up.
The University Of Illinois Chancellor is an Asian woman who decided not to cancel classes during a snow storm and some students resorted to making fun of her gender and race. I thought she had a very elegant response and shows why she’s in such a leadership position.
