Pastor Doesn’t Like The Wedding Photography

In today’s day and age, I can’t tell if this is staged or not.

I'd call that real. The priest is probably Episcopalian. Remember, the area behind the priest in your higher churches is actually considered to be sacred space.

  2. Uppercase Matt says:

I'm with BT — in my Episcopalian wedding, the priest was very clear during rehearsal that the wedding is a sacramental service and, while a mounted, still video camera would be acceptable, there would be no photographers permitted to roam around during the service.

  3. John Paul says:

I would also say it is real and would have to agree with the priest… the presbyterian church at which we were married, a video camera in the back of the room was allowed, but nothing else during the ceremony… I recently attended a wedding and there were four seprate camera guys roaming all over the place during the ceremeny firing off shots (with flash for indoor setting) like some photo shoot… it was very distracting and took away from the ceremony

When my daughter got married we had no photographers around her only in the back and no flash or sound. Mainly because our pastor and my daughter both wholeheartedly believed that it is a sacred and very special time before God. Makes me wonder if they hadn't spoken about it before hand…… should have!!!

Good for you father Erb. I' m only sorry this was not made clear to all concerned before and if it had been discussed,
Shame on the photographer who did not follow your wishes.

    Good to read.
