Oh yes, it just depends on what zombie genre the story is going with. For instance you have zombies that are more spelled bound by vudu who just kind of sleep walk around, and then you have those that are infected by a virus that causes aggressiveness, and of those you have some that can only walk with a gimp and then you have those that can actually run, and the intelligence and leaning adaptability of zombies can have a far range.
I had to share a cube at Southwest with a guy that was obsessed with zombies and he would like to enlighten me to the different genres, the history, and different directorial takes when it came to cinema, especially with George Romero. The book was GREAT… not sure how it is going to translate to a movie (if you read it, you know what I mean)
