Dreamliner test pilots go writing in the sky

Boeing took sky-writing to new heights Friday, tracing very precisely in the sky across 10 states the company logo as well as the numerals 787.

A 787-8 Dreamliner with GE engines, painted in the colors of Air India, landed at Boeing Field at 8:45 a.m. at the end of a 19-hour endurance test flight.

Technically, it was an ETOPS (Extended Operations) flight. But that didn’t mean the pilots couldn’t have some creative fun.

    I'm seeing that line cross over 13 different states, or does barely crossing the state line not count?
