- A Jewish friend gave me a happy holidays card and I wasn’t the least bit offended.
- I learned form Barry’s blog that the Tea Party had a float in Grapevine’s Parade of Lights. I know they state they were their to support the troops, but when it comes to parades and holiday Christmas events I prefer them politically neutral.
- Progress has been made in the Geeding Santa War Agreement, I believe we have a compromise. With that being said, BabyGeeding had her pictures taken with Santa yesterday and didn’t even cry one iota.
- I know people buy the oddest of things, and when I head bidding for Lee Harvey Oswald’s coffin was going to start at five grand, I honestly thought it wouldn’t even get that. Amazingly bids reached over $37,000.
- I know I write about The Daily Show with Jon Stewart often but last night’s episode was special. There’s a bill in congress that will aid the first responders of 9/11 that have been stricken with bad health because of the cleanup, but congress refuses to act for something so commonsense and Stewart called out all U.S. news organizations for not giving any attention to the matter. But of course congress has plenty of time for other trivial matter. Stewart goes on to point out that only one news organization give it any lip service and that was Al Jazeera. He then interviews a group of first responders which turns out to be quite touching.

Senator Kyl was featured in the segment. What's with Arizona? Lately, Kyl, McCain and Governor Brewer appear to be the meanest people alive. Huckabee was on at the end and did a fair amount of dancing around the issue so that he wouldn't offend Fox News or the Republicans.
