Surrey Police has released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a burglary in Redhill in which a packet of bacon was stolen.
The burglary happened between 2.50am and 3.40am on Saturday, 4 September, when the suspect gained entry to the property while the occupants were asleep upstairs.
No damage was caused to the house and the suspect stole a packet of bacon from the fridge and a telephone from the hallway, which was later recovered.
The suspect is described as a white man, short dark hair, and a moustache. He was wearing a dark T-shirt which had a white motif on the right shoulder and dark trousers.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Julian Knowles said: “This is very peculiar burglary as the suspect placed a rasher of bacon over a door handle before leaving the property.
