Wow – that's horrible. I'm surprised the driver's still alive – albeit in critical condition. I agree that he was driving on borrowed time, so to speak, but he's not the first 19-year-old to do so. Any penalty imposed (should he survive) should include video of his post-crash progress toward recovery (i.e., here he is all bruised/broken, here he is in his full body cast, here he is in physical therapy, etc.) and he should be required to give presentations at local schools. Oh, yeah – and he should have his license revoked until he's about 30.
On a different topic – who in their right mind would name their business the Beaver Vu Bowling Alley??? That's where he had his initial encounter with police on the day of the crash.
That kid is an idiot, a habitual offender, and it would be best if he died of his injuries. Before he does it again and kills someone else.
