Bag of Randomness

  • I have a friend that lives in Texas but has had two phone interviews with a company in D.C.  For the third interview, they want him to use a web-cam for a video chat.  I think that’s the first I have heard of that being done.
  • A new Fox television show will be filming in Dallas, starring a former West Wing star and Tom Hanks’ son.
  • I noticed that Obama tends to laugh at a serious question during an interview.  My advice to him, don’t, you appear as if you aren’t taking the question and maybe the job seriously.  And I’ll save you right wingers the trouble . . . Too bad he isn’t taking the job seriously.
  • I also notice that he starts a lot of his answers with “look.”  I would also advice him to stop doing that.
  • One thing I never really liked about the State of the Union is the opposing party’s response, well, at least how quickly it is given.  I can guarantee you the response was written well before anyone got the advance copy of the president’s address, so it’s as if they never really listened to what the president had to say.  It’s a fault of both parties.
  • I think I heard something similar regarding some Kennedy files:  Records on U.K. Scientist’s Death Sealed until 2073

  • Interesting line from Steve Jobs in Apple’s earning report: “The new products we are planning to release this year are very strong, starting this week with a major new product that we’re really excited about.”
  • Cornell’s Pi Phi sorority has some tough dress code standards
  • I bet a movie made by chimps would have the Blair Witch effect
