Jim Caviezel will do a reprise of his role as Jesus in a 25-hour, 20-CD dramatic reading of the New Testament, produced by the Nashville-based publisher Thomas Nelson. The recording is scheduled for release in October. Other actors lending their voices to the project include Richard Dreyfuss (playing Moses), Marisa Tomei (Mary Magdalene), Luke Perry (Judas) and Terence Stamp (God). Mr. Caviezel played Jesus in Mel Gibson’s 2004 film, “The Passion of the Christ.†Thomas Nelson also plans a recording of the Old Testament, told in 60 hours on 50 CDs. It said that Jason Alexander of “Seinfeld†fame has expressed interest in the Old Testament project.
