    My favorite misconception – A dog’s mouth is cleaner than a human’s mouth.

    I have seen my dog eat her own poop in the backyard. Every since then she isn’t allowed to lick me. My son, that’s fine but not me. 🙂

    Actually, your hair and fingernails do NOT continue to grow after death. The skin begins to pull away and shrink back from the nails and hair as the body decomposes, giving the illusion that the nails and hair are growing.
