As you know, MomGeeding was in town to get a bone scan. She’s been in a lot of pain in the past couple years, and it looks like she may be suffering from osteoporosis and lupus. As soon as her house sells, she will be moving in with us. I’m lucky-fortunate-blessed to have such an understanding wife. The sell of her house hopefully won’t be too hard on her, she’s been there for over 30 years. But I take a lot of solice in the words from a U2 song from their latest album, “a house doesn’t make a home.”
We took MomGeeding out to eat at one of her favorite places to dine – The Golden Corral. She’s a simple woman who is simple to please. There was a sign on the door that stated if you are relocated from New Orleans because of the hurricane you are welcomed to dine for free. About ten minutes into our meal, I noticed about 30 evacuees come in and sit in a special reserved area. You can tell they were evacuees because of a bracelet they were wearing – the local news did a little segment about these bracelets.
It was weird because you just didn’t know how to react. I’m sure they didn’t want to be stared at and simply wanted to enjoy their meal. I guess sometimes it is just best to say a silent prayer.
OK, enough about the mushy stuff, here are today’s links and stuff.
