How To File A Disaster Claim With FEMA

1. Create an account (requires MS IE 6.0 or higher)
2. You will get a PIN and password, via e-mail
3. You must wait 24 hours after receiving your PIN and Password to return to the Individual Assistance Center (IAC) to check your registration.

In most cases, you will find your application and that means you do not need to register again. If you do not see your application AND it has been at least 24 hours since you received your pin and password, we recommend registering again. However, if you do not wait 24 hours before re-registering, multiple registrations may be recorded and that will delay processing your case.

Hopefully for the displaced hurrican victims, the process is a bit more streamline. Oh, and if you don’t have a Internet access, you can call them and they will mail you an application packet.
