Today is national sugar cookie day.
Last year the ladies of GeedingManor planted some four o’clock flower seeds outside of our fence in a small little patch next to our driveway, and they grew just splendidly. When we got the retaining wall the area in which they were planted was trampled and run over quite often by one of those mini-bulldozer thingies. To our surprise, the grew back. But the bigger surprise was that some started to grow in the opposite end of the yard. If you look at this panoramic, the flowers planted last were were behind the fence on the left, where the playset resides. The surprise flowers are the ones on the far right.
