- I’m looking for a new homepage. Ever since I started using the World Wide Web it has been CNN.com because I wanted to be informed of the latest news and they had a clean layout. But now it seems all the stories are geared towards sensationalism and not substantive. I get that’s how “they make money” but there’s got to be a better way to go about it.
- In that last bullet I wanted to use the dated term “World Wide Web” because I remember taking a college class with that title when our campus first got online. I can remember the instructor telling us to go to Yahoo.com and try to find the web address for Harvard. I think I was the only person at the time smart enough to figure it out without using the search engine. I also remember the uproar from the students as we were charged a fifty dollar “Technology Fee” and a close friend calling this thing a fad.
