Bag of Randomness

  • Several of you were nice enough to recommend a secure password saving and generating tool called LastPass.  From my understanding, you create one master password which LastPass doesn’t even record or store, and LastPass will do the rest when it comes to creating unique passwords for each site.  What’s holding me back is that I’m not real comfortable giving a third party all my passwords.  Also, if I’m a hacker, wouldn’t I just need to hack LastPass to get a treasure trove of data?  I’m sure there’s security safeguards on their end I don’t understand, but it seems like I would just be putting all my eggs in one basket, hoping that basket is secure enough to protect my eggs.  So far these articles (granted, they’re all from the same source, LifeHacker) have been helpful researching the company, let me know if there’s another I should check out:
  • We are a one car family now and the wife and kids will be in East Texas, so I’m going to be bunkered in GeedingManor all weekend.  On the plus side, this will prevent me for eating fast food.  Sometimes I like to surprise WifeGeeding when she’s gone with projects I do around the house.  For instance, one time I had new carpet installed without her knowledge and another time I surprised her by upgrading our shower.  This time, I plan on veggin’ out.
  • I’m a big fan of the Google Chrome web browser but it’s been sluggish as of late.  After perusing the web for a while it seemed a common problem is that many users have the Hardware Acceleration featured enabled.  When I disabled it, Chrome was working lightening fast again. Here’s the instructions if you’re interested.
  • I always thought Troy Aikman was conceited but it was overlooked because of his good looks and play on the field, but I started to change my mind as he started to open up on The TICKET.  However, the way he responded to Gordon’s questions yesterday put him back on the conceited list.
  • Buzzfeed actually has a pretty thoughtful post about prayer and saying grace.
  • Most likely this will be in Texas – Elon Musk is building a five-mile Hyperloop test track
  • Amazon debuts 13 new TV show pilots that you can watch right now – There’s a cartoon about a garbage truck the BoyGeeding really enjoyed.
  • I’m not saying I’m for or against the Keystone Pipeline, but I had no idea there were already quite a few of pipelines from Canada that go through the U.S., with several ending at the Gulf of Mexico.
  • Ted Cruz’s Plan For NASA Is Epic – He even references JFK in his statement – In his statement, which was titled “Focus NASA on Its Core Mission: Exploring Space, and More of It,” Cruz said he wants to expand the US space program.
  • Is it time for Jerry Jones the owner, to fire Jerry Jones the general manager?  I purposely tuned in to WFAA to see Jerry’s biggest critic, Dale Hanson, to see what he would say about Jerry winning the Executive of the Year award and he wasn’t even working.
  • ‘Mad Men’ starts back up on April 5th.
  • The Green Bay Packers seem obsessed with playing a board game called Settlers of Catan.
  • I just don’t see the Packers or Colts winning this weekend.
  • I wish I had a father figure in my life right now, I sure could use some advice wisdom about a few things I’m fighting through.
