WifeGeeding normally doesn’t get sick, but she was down and out for a large part of the weekend. I literally didn’t see her get out of bed on Saturday, but it looks like she’s getting better.
I’m about a quarter of a way through Netflix’s new Marvel series ‘Jessica Jones’. When the series was first announced I had no idea who she was, and then I ran across this YouTube that talks about the character and how she may be too dark of a character even for Netflix to handle. That video does disclose some very dark and morbid stuff, I was questioning if Krysten Ritter could deliver. So far, I say she does a good job and Netflix does a good job with the dark stuff. I kinda like the macabre subject matter, it’s something new to be entertained with.
In his return, Tony Romo’s first pass was with his left hand. And while watching that game, I’ve heard “Turn Down For What” so many times in my life. Miami needs to upgrade their playlist.
I’m told in high school football playoffs, these sort of banners aren’t all that unusual.

The skeptic in me thinks this is a clever way for Amazon Fashion promotion.
That picture makes me wonder what was the last car manufactured in which the access to the gas tank was behind the license plate. I’m just going to guess it was a Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham which was last made in 1986. My guess as to why the fuel door is no longer behind the plate is safety issues relating to accidents in the rear.
There’s a joke somewhere in that last sentence.
I met someone yesterday at BoyGeeding’s preschool who refuses to eat any food that is not prepared in front of her. When asked what she does when she eats out with her family, she simply just doesn’t order any food.
That person reminded me of an old coworker. From time to time, our team would have a potluck or a spread where everyone is responsible for bringing a cooked dish, dessert, or some other item, and everyone digs in. This one particular coworker had to know what each person brought. She chose to eat a person’s dish depending on how clean their desk was. It was her belief if they kept a messy or dirty desk, their kitchen and food prep would be the same, and she didn’t want to take any chances.
While channel flipping, I noticed Vana White wasn’t wearing a dress on last night’s ‘Wheel of Fortune’. If I were to guess, I’d be the number of times she didn’t wear a dress would be in the single digits.

Last night was the first time I ever watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest after hearing so many great things about it over the years as well as all the Nurse Ratched pop-culture references. To be honest, I didn’t care for it much, but that ending sure will stay with you. Going into it, I had no idea two ‘Taxi‘ stars were in it, Christopher Lloyd and Danny Devito. Heck, I didn’t realize Devito was in the movie until I looked up the trivia info on IMDB, and it was also Lloyd’s film debut. I was also surprised to see Scatman Crothers in the film, it’s like he’s Jack Nicolson’s good luck charm or movie sidekick for that era of great movie making.
WifeGeeding often reminds me that her father has always told her that he will bail her out of jail one time, and one time only, no questions asked, and that’s she’s been saving it up for something.
I got a call yesterday to jump start the car of one of WifeGeeding’s friends. I’m so thankful that I decided to spend a couple extra bucks seven or so years ago and buy the extra long cables. The extra length has come in handy at least four times.

On Monday, I referenced a new Jennifer Garner movie about the book written by a Burleson mother about her daughter’s experience in Heaven. Yesterday I found out the parents of the girl are Hardin-Simmons graduates.
Tony Romo doesn’t tweet often, but the one he tweeted yesterday made a big splash. If he played for another team, I’d make fun of him and say he needs to be a realist. But since he plays for my team, I’ll say I love the optimism and how he’s challenged his teammates to step it up.
