Score One Up For Pat Robertson

I wonder what a certain Wise county lawyer’s thoughts are on this . . .

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Feb. 12, 2007 – Students from Regent University’s School of Law won the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Negotiation Competition on Feb. 11 by defeating The John Marshall Law School at the highly regarded national legal competition in Miami. Of the 220 teams competing at regional competitions held earlier this year throughout the nation, only 24 were chosen to compete in the national finals. Regent Law succeeds last year’s winner, Harvard Law, in claiming the top prize for legal negotiation.

Not familiar with Regent University?

It was founded by Pat Robertson back in 1978.

If I recall correctly, I believe Liberty Univeristy founded by Jerry Falwell always did well in this competition.  His theory is that if you train conservative lawyers in the art of debate, one day Roe vs Wade will be overturned.  I would sat Pat is following the same philisophy, which is a great battle plan.

Arsenio Turned 52 Yesterday

arsenio.jpegI don’t know why, but that surprised me.   Because of this I decided to visit his website.  His webpage opens with an audio clip of the introduction of his old show.  You know, “Arseniooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo HALL!”

He also has a page of his favorite things that gave me chuckle, which has a Luthor Vandross audio clip.

Trash Filled Car Causes Accident

A car crash in West Yarmouth led police to the discovery of a filthy car filled to the brim with trash and rubbish. According to police, there was so much trash inside 53-year-old Ann Biglan’s Ford Focus, it completely filled the inside from the floor to the ceiling front and back.

The copious amounts of trash apparently caused the crash. Biglan told police several old coffee cups and pieces of trash fell onto the gas and brake pedal, which caused her to lose control while backing out of a parking space near the West Yarmouth Post Office.
