The most unusual Honorary Awards went to Edgar Bergen in 1937 and Walt Disney the following year. Bergen’s Honorary, presented “for his outstanding comedy creation, ‘Charlie McCarthy,’ was a wooden Oscar statuette with a movable mouth. Disney’s Honorary (his second) was “for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, recognized as a significant screen innovation which has charmed millions and pioneered a great new entertainment field for the motion picture cartoon.” It was a standard Oscar statuette and seven miniature statuettes on a stepped base.
I Love The Ground
A neighbor helped me down about half an hour ago. I would have been down sooner, but he was way too busy laughing at me.
(Que Nelson laugh from The Simpsons.)
They are laughing at me
View from my roof
Why am I showing you this picture? Well, because I’m stuck up here.
I got up here to repair a leak on the patio and then the ladder fell and it does’t help that I’m scared of heights. WifeGeeding is out of town and SisterGeeding is no where to be found. I’ve called all my neighbors but none are home, same with all my friends. Other than the dogs looking or laughing at me, at least it’s a beautiful day and I have my phone that I can blog with until someone comes home.
