The UK firm was promoting its Dr Pepper drink in the US by organising gold coin treasure hunts for big cash prizes.

Contestants flocked to the 347-year-old Granary Burying Ground to find the hidden coin, but the site was shut amid fears that graves may be desecrated.

The firm said burying the coin there had been “poor judgement”.

Nic, Daniel, Garrett Ian, Daniel , Justin and Craig are engineering and computer science students at New Jersey Institute of Technology, so when they saw that mother nature was dropping some white stuff on the ground outside, they decided to construct a wonderfully nerdy shrine to their favorite Italian plumber. Sidenote:  The music you hear on the opening page is “Lord I Lift Your Name On High.”  That praise song was ‘new’ my freshman year at the very Baptist Hardin-Simmons University and came complete with cheesy hand motions.  That friggin’ song was played soooo much that year that my ears bleed everytime I hear it.  If I’m on life support and the plug is pulled and I just won’t die – just play this song and my will to live will be gone in nano-seconds, I promise.
