Sardines

Hong Kong International Airport

I guess when you are squeezed in like sardines, you get to know people. On this trip I met a guy who is on his way to Singapore to film a movie called Cages. His name is Bobbie Tonelli and he even has an IMDB entry. We had a real good time talking about all sorts of stuff, and even exchanged email addresses. I also decided that we needed to take a picture together so when he makes it big I can tell everyone that we once hung out together on a very very long plane ride.

I was suppose to meet up with one of my Honk Kong readers today at the airport, but we are running behind and we are experiencing a little trouble with customs regarding Mom. Hopefully I can hook up with Moldy when we are on our way home when we have a longer layover.

Siberia?

In my entire life I never thought I would be flying so close to Siberia. And I never thought soup would be served on a flight, especially one so turbulent. WifeGeeding doesn’t take turbulence well, good thing I’m her to calm her nerves, or is that why free alcohol is served on international flights?

Cool Pictures

Somewhere Cold and Cool

I’m not sure if the pictures show the amazing details, but those rivers (at least I think they are rivers) are white. If you want, I can later add the high-resolution versions later.

Note:  Since I’m only going to be able to post on a dial-up connection, don’t expect a lot of pics until I can find some high speed Internet access.

Somewhere near Juneau, Alaska
The first movie ended so the screens and monitors start showing us that cool travel data stuff again. The maps show that the plane is very near

Juneau, Alaska (What’s up Lady Feinberg!)

I would have thought rather than outlining the coast, the plane would fly right over the open waters of the Pacific. I wonder if that’s for safety reasons or if its more cost effective with wind currents or a shorter distance because of the curvature of the Earth. I dunno, but either way it makes me feel a little assured for some reason.
