Tom Snyder

I never had the opportunity to watch Tom Snyder’s “Tomorrow Show,” but I did catch him when he had a show after Letterman and totally loved it.

This clip starts with a tribute from Conan O’Brien and highlights interviews with such people as:

  • A young and beardless Stephen Spielberg
  • Charles Manson
  • Alfred Hitchcock
  • Bono and The Edge with bad hair, and they even reference Lubbock, TX
  • Howard Cosell
  • Muhammad Ali

Crazy Murder-Suicide

Not that all murder-suicides aren’t crazy, but this one has a little different element to it.  The mother shot her two children, her husband, and then herself; and left a note was left warning emergency that the bodies were infected with the AIDS virus.

And even though this is a very tragic story, I’m also left wondering what happened to the dog?

Atlanta Time Machine

You’ll find a plethora of then-and-now photos of Atlanta through the decades, scores of old postcards, and miscellaneous ephemeral stuff like old advertising for nightclubs, bars, and restaurants. In short, the site features a virtually endless supply of “historical” stuff you probably won’t find elsewhere.

More interestingly, I wasn’t aware that Atlanta had it’s own White House.

I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that Atlanta has a 3/4 sized replica of the White House and it’s located at 3687 Briarcliff Road NE.  The Atlanta White House was built by Atlanta home builder Fred Milani, an American citizen born in Iran.
