Taken from the top of the Twin Towers on June 17th, 2000, this rare VR is a window into the past. The view from the top was spectacular, especially on that particular Saturday morning. We were a different country then.

During the World Series the local media here in DFW covered a story about a heart transplate of a 13 year old boy who was a Red Sox fan. It turns out his heart surgeon was also a fan, and mentioned that if he pulls through and the Red Sox makes it to the World Series, she would take him to the game. Not only did he get to go to a game, but he actually got to throw out the first pitch at game two of the World Series.
Touching story, but for some reason I never took the time to think about the sad part of the story – there had to be a death for him to receive that heart.
Turns out that heart belonged to a 24 year old woman who just gave birth to her first child some 12 days prior.
