Tunes on TV

There’s a JC Penney commercial that has a cute little holiday jingle I’m a little addicted to.  In researching the song, I found a website called TunesOnTv that helped me find out the song is called “All That I Want” and it is performed by The Weepies.

You can here the entire song here: http://www.jcpgifts.com/

Update: BagOfNothing.com Christmas Card Experiment 2.1 – Your chance to help fight lupus

My fourth Christmas card came in the mail today and it’s from Roland of Ft. Wayne, IN.  This card was one of those custom made ones and he was  nice enough to include a donation to help fight lupus.  With a total of four cards, that’s $4 I’ll donate to help fight lupus.

Roland, thanks for the card, donation, and being a loyal BON reader!

So that’s one card from Texas, North Carolina, New York, and Indiana.

A small recap of the experiment of me trying to see if any of you are willing to send me a Christmas card:

Option 1:  You can make a direct donation to the Lupus Research Institute in memory of Kim Geeding.  Have the acknowledgement sent to my address, and I’ll consider that my Christmas card.  I’ve done some research, and out of all the lupus organizations I feel most comfortable with the Lupus Research Institute came out on top.

Option 2:  If you just want to send a card and no money, then I will total up all the cards received before Dec 25, and for each card donate a dollar (up to $50) to the Lupus Research Institute.  If you include any money, I’ll make sure to donate the funds directly to the Lupus Research Institute.

Send all cards to

Keith “BagOfNothing” Geeding
421 Vista Noche Dr
Lewisville, TX 75067-8345

Please be sure to include the “BagOfNothing” in the name so I know the card comes from a reader and not the dentist or plumber.

Random Sonic Thought

I went to Sonic for lunch to try the new double meat patty melt, which I highly recommend by the way, and I’m starting to notice that just about every Sonic now has the credit/debit card machine at every ordering stand.  I bet the car hops don’t like those machines since it hurts the chances of them getting a tip.  You know, a lot of times when you get change back you just give it to the car hop, but if there isn’t any change due to a credit/debit card payment – there’s no change and no tip for the car hop.  Which brings up another question . . . should the car hops get a tip?  All they do is bring me my food and are doing their job, they aren’t really waiting on me like a restaurant.  I end up tipping them out of guilt for some reason.  It’s not like I tip anyone at McDonalds or Chick-fil-A.
