Now the New Zealand Book Council has a twist on the boss key that lets you read great literature at your desk–and still look like you’re churning out important business documents. The site is called Read at Work, and when you visit it, you’re confronted with a simulated Windows login screen. Logging in reveals a familiar Windows desktop, complete with folders and PowerPoint files.
But the files aren’t business presentations–they’re works of literature transmuted into PowerPoint presentations. So you can read poetry by Emily Dickinson or George Orwell’s “Animal Farm†(below) and still appear to be readying that deck for next week’s meeting.
