World’s shortest sea trial

It appears to have been the world’s shortest sea trial for the car carrier DYVI PACIFIC. The ship apparently capsized shortly after leaving the builders yard in Shadong, China on 23 April 2009. The 6,200 car capacity (ceu) ship had just been recently christened at a ceremony on March 16, 2009 at Samjin Shipbuilding Industries. The ship was departing for trials and was scheduled to be delivered to its owners.

Gun owners attack Rush Limbaugh

Rush Limbaugh’s new pet project — fighting animal cruelty for the Humane Society of the United States — is riling sportsmen from coast to coast, prompting fears that the talkster typically supportive of gun rights is aiding a group they say has a secret agenda to end all hunting in America.

Twenty-eight groups representing millions of hunters and sportsmen are demanding that the conservative radio commentator end his collaboration with the HSUS and stop “helping them to mainstream their image in the minds of reasonable people.”

Artist creates invisible car

Art student Sara Watson has found the ultimate way of avoiding traffic wardens – by making her car invisible.

The 22-year-old student at the University of Central Lancashire spray painted a battered Skoda Fabia to match the car park and entrance to her art studio.

Her work, created as part of her drawing and image making course at the university, creates the illusion that the car is see through.
