My Third Christmas Card of 2009

Yesterday in the mail Cowtown Doug (from Cowtown of all places) sent me this Christmas card which made me giggle.  Huh, I just noticed I didn’t scan the whole card, but I’m too lazy to rescan and make it look right.

Cowtown Doug was also nice enough to include not one, but TWO Christmas cards.  Man, talk about an over-achiever.  One coupon was for 50 cents off a pack of Marlboros.  I didn’t know that the coupons even display the Surgeon General’s warren.  The other coupon was for a free sample of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste which will help treat and prevent diaper rash.

So far that’s one from Kansas, and two from Texas.

Wanna join in on the fun and send me card so I can add to the total?  Come on, send me some Christmas cheer. You can do it for free, just click here.

  • One really cool thing the city of Lewisville does every time this time of year is have Santa ride on top of a firetruck through the neighborhood with lights and horns going on throwing candy to kids as they run outside.  That happened last night, and the 28 degree weather made it quit festive.
  • I really enjoy The Ticket’s white elephant day, but this year wasn’t as good as the last couple.  I did think Donovan’s “Out of Socket” (mocking Dale Hansen’s Unplugged) was quite funny.

  • Here’s an interesting map of every nuclear explosion since 1945.  What’s amazing is the number of nuclear explosions, I had no idea there have been more than a thousand.

  • Not a bad idea: Microwave that plays YouTube videos while you cook
  • While watching Leno last night (it’s on in the background as I blog for you kind folks) I learned that Quentin Tarantino was in an episode of The Golden Girls.
  • I can’t tell if this video is fake or not, but some guy in NY can’t figure out what is happening to food, so he sets up a camera only to find out that a woman has been entering through a crawl space.  As a matter of act, as he sets up the camera, you can see her in the upper right hand corner.  Watch the video here and check out the answers to his most common questions on the right hand side.

Mystery as spiral blue light display hovers above Norway

ScreenShotBON113crazynorwaylights

A mysterious light display appearing over Norway last night has left thousands of residents in the north of the country baffled.

Witnesses from Trøndelag to Finnmark compared the amazing sight to anything from a Russian rocket to a meteor or a shock wave – although no one appears to have mentioned UFOs yet.

The phenomenon began when what appeared to be a blue light seemed to soar up from behind a mountain. It stopped mid-air, then began to circulate.
