Mister Rogers defending PBS to the US Senate

In 1969, Fred Rogers appeared before the United States Senate Subcommittee on Communications. His goal was to support funding for PBS and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, in response to significant proposed cuts by President Nixon.

It’s interesting how cold Senator Pastore seems to be at the beginning and later warms up to Mr Roger’s charm. I think the best stuff starts around the 4:40 mark and how Pastore sums things up at the end of the clip.

Most And Least Christian Cities In America

Salt Lake City comes in at #1 on the list, but has an asterisk next to it since it’s including Mormons.  I know most of the people in my evangelical past, heck, I know a lot of people today that states Mormons aren’t Christians but are part of a cult.

But I wonder if most DFW folks, or Texans in general, are surprised that places like Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Boston are higher on the list than DFW (12), Houston (13) and San Antonio (9).
