This was one of the segments on “60 Minutes” last night. It’s about a Catholic church that’s been in construction for 130 years and it’s got about 15 more years to go, and it’s first mass was held just two years ago when Pope Benedict consecrated it as a basilica.
Hearing about the architect’s vision, the interpretation of various things, and seeing it in HD made me think it was the most beautiful church I’ve ever seen.
