Bag of Randomness
- More on the Watermelon Oreo here.
- When eating at Braum’s yesterday a trio of high school boys sat next to us as Don Henley’s “Boys of Summer” started to play over the store’s stereo system. They didn’t utter a word to each other as they ate, but everytime the song hit the chorus, they all sang out loud, and quite well. It was actually kinda cool, and I was surprised that high school boys would know any Don Henley songs. I also forgot how cool that music video was and didn’t know that it won Video of the Year at the 1985 MTV Video Music Awards.
- I’m not sure what my favorite Henley song is, “The End of the Innocence” or “The Heart of the Matter“. It’s probably the matter, because it’s all about forgiveness. See what I did there? 😉
- I’ve never seen an episode of ‘The Sopranos’.
- James Gandolfini’s surprise death happened in the middle of a European trip he had with his teenage son. That sounds too eerily familiar to Tim Russert’s death, although Russert died when he got back to the states after taking his son to Europe for a graduation present.
- Chris Christie is a Cowboys fan, mainly due to watching Roger Staubach in his youth.
- The Atlanta Falcon’s new stadium is going to have an unconventional retractable roof. The seats might even vibrate after a big hit. Idiocracy?

Just a giant snake turning on a light and opening a door
Julius Escaping from Jenner on Vimeo.
Bored of being in a dark room, she flips on the light, opens the door and bails.
This particular episode takes place at 1am. We were startled out of bed by a loud THWAP! Making sure there were no zombies, I put her back in the room, and set up the camera.
This is why we keep doors locked with her around. We don’t need her harassing the neighbors.
Apparently it could also open round doorknobs.
Heck of a class photo
The parents of a young disabled boy want people to know they don’t blame their son’s teacher for the insensitive class photo that showed him in his wheelchair separated from his classmates.
Anne Belanger, mother of seven-year-old Miles Ambridge, said she doesn’t believe the teacher was being intentionally malicious when her son was placed at the far edge of the class photo, detached from the rest.
“I’m not on a warpath,” said the New Westminster mom. “I just want to bring awareness that this was not acceptable.”
Here’s an updated article with an new class photo.
