I don’t want to be the star of the show. I prefer to be the person behind the scenes doing the work that helps make the person in the spotlight look good. Most folks want to be Maverick, I want to be Goose. I don’t want to be President Bartlett, I was to be Leo McGary. I don’t need the recognition, but it helps to know that I’m appreciated.
Maybe guys in my position aren’t supposed to reveal this, but one thing that hurts a lot is to see how effortlessly my ex has moved on with her life.
The bill allows schools to use a volunteer or employ chaplains “to provide support, services, and programs for students as assigned by the board of trustees of the district or the governing body of the school.” A school district can use funds allocated for school safety and security to support chaplains in their role, the same funds used for other counselors. Schools now have six months to vote on policies to either deny or allow chaplains into their schools.
This 60 Minutes Australia piece was interesting. I don’t think our reporters get some of this access. The general speaks like Bill Belichick and the Chinese representative talks like Donald Trump.
