- We romanticize the past too much. Sometimes I hear older conservative women tell me they miss the good ol’ days. Outwardly, I half-smile and nod my head. Inside, I wonder if they want to go back to a time in which spousal abuse was permissible and glorified on television on those good old shows a whole family could watch together.
- Sometimes it’s best to not reply to a particular email until the next day. Sometimes it’s best not to reply. Sometimes you just have to say the hell with it and burn bridges.
- In that last bullet, I debated on whether or not to use a comma and quotations with the last three words.
- It just dawned on me that I don’t always need to explain or justify myself.
- I found this on LiberallyLean’s blog and can’t believe this story hasn’t gotten any national coverage. An acorn falls on a cop’s car. He misinterpreted it as a gunshot and thought he was hit. He then rolls on the ground and fires his gun several times at nothing. No need to watch the entire video, just the first 25 seconds, make sure to have your volume. Here’s the link to TwitterX in case it fails to embed.
New bodycam footage shows Okaloosa County, FL Deputy Jesse Hernandez declaring “shots fired!” and “I’m hit!” and shooting at the handcuffed, unarmed suspect inside of his police car.
He had not been shot, rather, it was determined that he heard an acorn drop onto the car. pic.twitter.com/D71fddl5V7

- This tweet poll and its thread caught my attention. Some folks commented on the absurdity of the poll, and the author responded even if that’s the case, can you back it up and cite your sources. I mean, if you are going to say the Bible does or does not support something, you ought to be able to back it up with biblical reasoning. Especially in an election year. I also thought the I Love Lucy angle was interesting and did a little research. It happened four times and this guy on YouTube broke them down.
- Huh, I used “ought” in that last bullet. I have not said, read, or heard that word in a long time.

I’ve always wanted to try my hand at being a football or basketball play-by-play announcer, and I think I’d be good at it. That’s why I keep up with news about people in these positions and everything that goes into their jobs. I was thrilled to find this recording, and I’m grateful to the person who put it all together.”
The Harlan call has been getting a ton of run so I wanted to find each call of the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl from the best in the business. You be the judge.
In order, it goes…
