I mentioned it meant a lot to me to watch the original Star Wars trilogy with my kids. BoyGeeding has taken are real liking towards Chewbacca. I forgot that when I was his age, I also had a Chewbacca mask, but not the footie pajamas. I tweeted Peter Mayhew, the guy who played the character in the films and now a North Texas resident, and he was kind enough to like the tweet.
The largest mosquito I’ve ever seen tried to bite me yesterday. Mosquitos the day after Christmas!?
Last week I was informed my U2 fan club membership was about to expire, which I pay for so I can get advanced concert tickets when they tour. However, since their last tour didn’t even sniff Texas and I felt Bono and the boys stood me up, I held off. On Christmas, they announced they were going to tour in 2017 to honor or celebrate the 30th release of their iconic album, The Joshua Tree. There are reports U2 will do stadium performances in the US during late spring, followed by stadiums in Europe, and headlining Bonnaroo in June. I’m hopeful they come to Texas, especially DFW, but since I felt snubbed last night and didn’t think Bono could pull off blonde hair look, I may just stay home.
ESPN’s Monday Night Football crew didn’t even notice that Ezekiel Elliot, who wears jersey number 21, like Deion Sanders, did the signature Sanders high step while running into the endzone last night.
I loved that trick play last night, the reverse to Dez who throws a touchdown pass to Witten. A little before the play, Gruden, who I like, stated how Witten was having trouble getting on the stat sheet for the game.
