  • I’m not sure how, but I was able to fix my washing machine.  I probably spend a good eight hours researching, disassembling, adjusting, and reassembling that thing.  Not one part was bought.  Basically, I examined the hoses, put them back on, rigged it to run without any safety features so I can have a clear view of things to identify a leak, and put it back together.  And yet again, I’m left with extra parts that I can’t find where they are supposed to go.  I always take pictures as I disassemble these projects, but that doesn’t even seem to help.
  • The kids were upstairs playing and I decided to replay the U2 concert that aired on HBO earlier this week.  Within a minute, BoyGeeding darted downstairs and asked me to rewind it so he could hear his favorite song.
  • We ate at Freebirds last night.  I noticed, like Chipotle, they also place their cup lids upside down to make them easier to grab.
  • I used to prefer Freebirds over Chipotle, but I’ve slowly migrated.  After last night’s experience, I don’t intend on returning.  Somehow, they ran out of grilled veggies and they stated it would take 15 minutes to make, but we could go ahead and start eating our burritos and they would be happy to bring them out.  That makes it an odd eating experience since their burritos have all their ingredients wrapped up on the inside of a large tortilla.  So WifeGeeding and I had to forgo the grilled red and green peppers and onions we usually include inside our burritos.  Back in they day, they would throw in a free cookie or brownie for the inconvenience, but they offered nothing.  However, they did bring the grilled veggies out later, but it was mostly onions with just a few red and green peppers mixed in.  Once again, back in the day, they used to offer a good ratio of peppers to onions.  On top of that, their restroom was far from clean.  There was a ring of mold around the water line in the toilet and paper towels weren’t in the dispenser but on top of the baby changing table.

  • Last night on CBS, The Beach Boys’ “Darlin” was heavily featured on ‘The Big Bang Theory.  And then the following show used Bruce Springsteen’s “Glory Days” and the song “St. Elmo’s Fire”.  I bet “Darlin” will rank high in iTunes sales and wouldn’t be surprised if the other two songs spike.
  • Buzzfeed – This Video Of A Weeping Groom Will Give You So Many Feels – This reminds me of my wedding day.  I had something planned, something special and sentimental for my bride to see when she made eye contact with me as she walked down the aisle, but we never made eye contact.

Will give you so many feels? What does that even mean?

It's how the young people describe something that makes them emotional. E.g., "I watched that video. It was so good. All the feels!"

We've had a few bad experiences at our local Freebirds, too. One was so bad that I even took the time to send an e-mail complaint, which I have only done 1-2 other times in my life. It was very similar to your experience – 4-5 things were not available (one of them was chicken. Chicken!), there was no apology for it, and not even an offer to make it and bring it out later. Just a shoulder shrug and a comment "we've been super busy." There were 2 other parties there. One person was working the food line, while 5-6 guys wandered around the back. The trash cans were overflowing, and the bathroom was dirty. I did receive a nice response from corporate, along with a gift card. We used it at a different location.
